![]() Sometimes it ‘spits’ out the foundation, which is a bit annoying, but not that dangerous. See, the pump doesn’t always work properly. When it comes to the downsides, I’m not a big fan of the packaging and more specifically the pump. If you haven’t already, read my post on my two favorite makeup sponges here! Yet once I switched up to my beloved makeup sponge, it was all smooth sailing from there on. Foundation brush didn’t work for me either: it made the base look a bit cakey. I learned that it’s crucial to apply this foundation with a damp beauty sponge, otherwise it can look and feel a bit dry. Swatches of IsaDora Active all day wear make-up in shades 10 Fair, 12 Light Honey and 16 Warm Beigeīut to be perfectly honest, my first go with it wasn’t a huge success. My skin is combination and this foundation works well for me. So at this point it’s quite obvious that it’s a great foundation for combination or oily skin. The matte finish doesn’t look dry or unnatural. This foundation is lightweight and easy to apply on the skin. Even though I like a nice coverage, matte finish and longevity – I still don’t want my foundation to be thick or cakey. What I like about Isadora’s Active wear foundation the most is it’s thin consistency. And this one lasts great! The foundation does last through some sweating, but requires some powdering after it. Well, I don’t think I’ve ever worn a foundation for 24 hours, but I’ll take a long lasting foundation when I can get one. It’s sweat-proof, humidity proof and it promises 24h lasting power. The whole idea behind this foundation is that it’s for active wear. IsaDora ACTIVE all day wear make-up foundation review & swatches It’s very lightweight, it lasts well, it’s medium coverage and leaves a beautiful matte finish. Now that I’ve tested the foundation, I can say it’s great, especially for oily or combination skin. I knew I needed to review it, IsaDora being one of my favorite brands and all. I will 100% be repurchasing a tube when this one is finished.Isadora recently came out with a new foundation: Active All Day Wear Make-Up. If you can get a good colour match it would be worth trying out. I like how it wears as the day progresses and it is a relief to not constantly have to be checking to see if my face has gone patchy throughout the day. I’ve reached for this quite a bit over the past few weeks/months. Overall I am really quite taken with this foundation. I have seen it on offer on some websites. Price: This is a mid range price at €19.95. I found it stayed on well around my t zone which is a little oily at the moment. Skin Type: I always struggling with picking a skin type but I would say this would suit people who have normal to slightly oily skin. ![]() It stays the same which isn’t always the case with long wearing foundations. What I like is even though it lasts really well, it doesn’t change in the finish on your skin. I got a good days work out of it and a few hours milling around the shops and it still looked well. Lasting Power: The lasting power of this foundation is excellent. You can see from the pictures how well it covered my pigmentation. I find that it covers any spots etc well. ![]() You can sheer it out or you can wear it much fuller. Personally I think it is a good strong medium coverage. It makes your skin look so smooth and almost like velvet! I actually couldn’t stop looking at my skin the first time I wore it! It doesn’t settle in pore or crease and it just leaves the skin looking beautiful.Ĭoverage: Isadora say this is a medium coverage. I love mixing it with my Urban Decay drop Shot too.įinish: The finish on this is incredible. It also didn’t dry out on the skin throughout the day. Felt lovely and light weight on the skin and for a long wear foundation it didn’t feel in the least bit drying. Texture: I actually found the texture of this lovely. This is the type of packaging I love from a foundation as when you come to the end you can cut the end off and scrape the last few bits out! Packaging: The foundation comes in a 35ml tube with a pump. As of now we can’t get the darker shades in the range. ![]() As I am quite pale at the minute, I find I have to bronze my neck up a tiny bit but nothing major. I am wearing shade sand which would be around a Mac nc25. Fair, Light Honey, sand, Warm Beige, Cognac and Almond. Shade Range: The shade range isn’t fantastic but I think they have a few that will suit different Irish skin tones. Not all of these shades are available in Ireland
